| The Young Press was designed by the Bodum Design Group to develop a modern yet functional coffee press that delivers top quality coffee and can be used in a variety of environments. The durable frame is made of santoprene - a hard rubber like material. The windows are made of clear polycarbonate.
Together, these two layers form a protective skin around the glass beaker that helps prevent breakage, making the Young Press an ideal press for home, office, boat, and even camping. The glass beaker can easily be removed for cleaning and placement in the dishwasher. For those who prefer to hand-wash their Young Press, they don't need to worry as much about knocking the glass beaker against a metal sink. The Young Press' frame also assists in keeping the coffee hot longer while insuring that the body of the press remains cool to the touch and is safe to set on most surfaces. Should the glass beaker break, it is easily replaced with the the standard Bodum 8-Cup Replacement Glass. The young Press brews 8 - 4oz. cups of coffee or 1.0 litter / 34 oz. This size is ideal for serving 2 - 3 people. |

| The Bodum Young coffee press is so easy, and makes a wonderful cup (about 2 1/2 mugs total) of coffee. If you can't afford an expresso maker, this is the next best thing for a good mug of coffee. I really like the plastic sleeve around the glass also, as it protects the glass from breaking, and keeps the second cup of coffee warm longer than other Bodums. |

There are many reasons to get this Bodum coffee press. 1. the best priced 8 cup bodum there is. 2. Coffee presses give you 'virgin' coffee flavor. 3. the carafe is nesteled in and protected by the durable frame that is made of santoprene - a hard rubber like material. The windows are made of clear polycarbonate. If you were ever afriad you'd break your Chambord style press, as I have been many times, get the Young Press instead.

| This is so far the best coffee press that I ever bought. It doesn't get hot on the out side because of the double walls. It is glass on the inside and plastic on the out side which keeps things hot for a while. |

| I have scoured the internet for coffee makers, both automatic and manual in the hopes of replicating at home what I go to expensive coffee houses for. This was my answer! I love it so much, I even took it camping within the first week. The rubber second skin is perfect to protect the fragile glass decanter. |
